6/19/05, Sunday - First Father's Day.  Had Dim Sum at The Tea House, followed by farmer's market in Jack London Square.  Later on, Kai enjoys the film Madagascar and a swim at Lake Temescal.

11/15/04, Monday - Kai, fascinated with his own fist, pokes himself in the eye.

11/07/04, Sunday - Kai the emerging film buff watches The Incredibles at the Chabot Cinema.  Was able to focus on the movie for a long time.  Found it to be much more accessible than Maria Full of Grace or Garden State.

11/05/04, Friday - One day shy of two months old.  Kai is 12 pounds, 6 ounces. 22 1/2 inches.

10/31/04, Sunday - Kai bounces around as Tigger for Halloween.

10/28/04, Thursday - Kai wakes up smarter and with new awareness: talking and smiling all day, intentionally reaching for things, batting things away, and clearly looking at objects.

10/17/04, Sunday - Went to the North Berkeley Spice of Life Festival.  Kai rides BART for the first time, being a strong proponent of public transportation.  After riding home with a bunch of disheartened Raiders fans, he is now ready for anything.

10/14/04, Thursday - One month and eight days old.  Kai is 10 pounds, 12 ounces.  Three pounds gained since birth. Oh my. 

10/10/04, Sunday - Kai laughs out loud for the first time.

10/7/04, Thursday - One month and a day old.  Kai wakes up smiling.
